(Note: I don’t need to. I took Algebra in 7th grade, so I’m a math honors student and ahead of normal students) By senior year, I’ll probably be taking some kind of calculus, but I want a different perspective on life and school. I just want to know what it’s like in another person’s shoes while not being in their shoes.

Who am I kidding? I’m not kidding myself! I would do that for fun! I might just take Geometry to mess with people. Imagine, what-the-heck is a smart looking Asian girl doing in a Geometry class in Senior year!? I just want to say, I like math, and I really liked Geometry. (Thank you, my middle school math teacher!) Hello! This is me I’m talking about! It would be fun to be in Geometry for the pure insanity of it.

Daydreaming About Geometry

I just came up with this odd little idea this past week so I’m still daydreaming about it. One of my friends is still taking Geometry,(another is still taking Algebra as a Sophomore and I hope that this won’t offend them!)and she told me that there was an Asian girl that looked smart but she was taking Geometry. I wonder what the Freshmen think about her. What Freshmen think about me if I took Geometry? Me, the oh so nerdy Asian girl. Would I pull off the dumb look to ask them things about Geometry that I already know? It’s a challenged to be faced. I’ll just be doing what I’ve done before, I’ll be lying to people about myself. But if this happens, I’ll fooling people into thinking I was dumb rather than popular(don’t get me started on that, it’s still too raw). How the heck will I control my “I GOTCHA!” after the first test! Now I’m starting to feel bad while writing this, the phase of me lying left and right is making me think about this little idea. Will this be a way of me facing my past or revisiting it and making it even worse? This might become a little joke, but it might become something more serious.

My Fears

I know college isn’t far away. Would taking four years of math be odd to a college when they consider me for admission? Especially a student like me repeating a subject, for the fun of it? Would it be something fun to write about on a college statement (or whatever those things are)? This is making me waver between simply being a math teacher’s assistant or actually retaking Geometry.

-

I will revisit this post with updates(or Post Scripts) in the future when I get back to think about this topic, which I will probably do with most topics.
